Combined-Cycle Simulator Delivered to Williamson College of the Trades

WSC delivered a generic Combined-Cycle simulator for use as a teaching aid for Williamson's Lee Rowan School of Power Plant Technology. The  program aims to give students hands-on experience and knowledge of operations in the petrochemical, nuclear, and manufacturing industry. The generic combined cycle simulator is based on a 2-on-1 configuration, with emulated GE Cimplicity & Ovation HMIs. The simulator includes models of all plant systems required to train operators in plant fundamentals and operations. The simulator is set-up as a classroom such that students can run a copy of the combined cycle plant simulator independently on their workstations or work as a team, with multiple students tied to a common simulated plant.

The simulator was delivered with the 3KEYITS (Intelligent Tutoring System) with a full set of start-up and shutdown lessons to complement the platform and allow students to self study and operate the plant independently with operating instructions.
